I am a mostly private-pay, out-of-network provider. While I don't accept insurance directly, your insurance plan may have out-of-network benefits, which means that it will reimburse you for a portion of our session cost.
I have paneled with Aetna through Headway.
I have also partnered with Thrizer to handle the out-of-network process automatically for you. With Thrizer, you will only have to pay a copay for our sessions after the deductible, instead of paying the full fee and waiting for reimbursements. This typically allows clients to save on average 70% upfront on our sessions. During our intake process, I can help you verify whether you have out-of-network benefits and determine your copay amount.

FAQS

I am only in network with Aetna and Husky (Medicaid).

Our work doesn’t just end on the hour. The skills you learn in session, you’ll take with you to apply out of session and when you finish therapy.
What goes into the fee:
-Collaboration with other providers (psychiatry, school, work, attorneys) within limits of confidentiality of course
-Books or other materials if warranted and relevant to treatment
-Check in's in between sessions for EMDR and DBT modalities
**If a second session is needed throughout the week, you will be charged half the amount of the first session (a first full fee session is required first for this to apply)
Setting my rate to meet my business needs allows me to be more creative and have much more time and flexibility to focus on your treatment. Premium fees are seldom set for greed, much instead to allow the opportunity for both therapist and client to engage in quality treatment. If I was busy seeing 30-40 clients a week (as most therapists do) to keep my business afloat and make ends meet, you could not possibly have the best version of me as a therapist, and that's all you deserve if you're deciding to come to therapy.
Psychotherapy Intake: $250
60-minute session: $200
EMDR session: $250
Couples/Family: $225

Short answer: it’s different for everyone.
I know that can be discouraging to hear. Here’s the thing, it depends on the commitment and consistency to your care.
I have seen it typically takes about 8-10 sessions for clients to develop the self-awareness of patterns that are holding them back. While some clients want long-term therapy, others want short-term. We will talk about what feels best for you.

I am open to both. I understand some circumstances don’t allow a person to come into the office. However, I am more inclined to have clients come into the office for EMDR services.
An additional thought:
Processing trauma work can be super rewarding but challenging before it gets to the point of catharsis. I always encourage clients to come into the office to have a private space and let it all out. While our homes can also be safe, coming into the office allows you to “leave it there.”

Click the “make an appointment” button to email me your availability; I will find a time that works for both of us. We will confirm, and I’ll send you a Zoom link for a 15-minute consult.
** Please check your spam for emails. I typically take 24 hours to respond to an inquiry.
