Meet your therapist

Hi There!

I can list my degrees here, and I do (at the bottom), but that isn’t going to tell you anything you want to know.

You probably DO want to know if I know what I’m doing, talking about, and what makes me worth the investment. All are incredibly fair, and you wouldn’t be my type of person if you didn’t immediately ask that.

I love working with clients with these struggles because I’ve been there. I don’t think anybody could possibly grasp how it feels unless they’ve been through it too. If you haven’t, you just get judged. I mean, sometimes, I’ve judged myself too. How is it possible that a high-achieving woman could simultaneously struggle with self-doubt and entertain partners who also increase self-doubt? After all, we always look like we have it together, and if we’re so successful, shouldn’t we know better? ALL questions I’ve asked myself and heard from my loved ones. And guess what? My clients have the same questions, too.

Even though I can relate, your journey is your own. Your circumstances are different, and I get that; I just wanted you to know that I’m not bullshitting you or selling you some crap I learned in a textbook.

Therapy with me is not SMILE AND NOD.

And so, I don’t like to beat around the bush. I like to challenge my clients, which, I can honestly tell you, is a quality you want in a trauma therapist. You don’t want someone who will dance around the point or, worse, be scared to delve into your trauma. Seeing my clients' faces light up when they realize something life-changing is more satisfying than forwarding an email you sent last week to your condescending coworker and typing, “see below.”

I truly work best with people who want to make a change, even if they don’t exactly know what that looks like. Respectfully, if you need someone (and no judgment here) to tell you that you can do no wrong, I am not the therapist for you. Therapy with me is dynamic; I will offer feedback as appropriate. If I observe you doing something that is keeping you from your goal, I will tell you. Because I’m not afraid of discomfort, I’m not avoidant of issues. I want you to feel your best, even if that means you don’t need me anymore.

So yes, I know what I’m doing, and I’m damn good.

I know my worth, and I can help you know yours too.

See below so you know I didn’t get my license to practice from Temu! (seriously, they sell everything).
